When it comes to selecting a Realtor, it is important to know about them. While the majority of my business comes from repeat and referral business, it is still important for the new buyer or seller who does not know me, to know that.
Why? Most people feel very comfortable with someone that has been referred to them. If you have been around for awhile, you know that is how things get done. Being in the real estate business is a local business. Living in the community, having connections, having grown kids and their kids in school in the community, gives the person looking for a Realtor to help them some feeling of security.
Here is a very brief resume about me:

Born in Michigan and came to Howell when I was about 2 weeks old.

Educated in Howell Schools where I did all of the things that kids do.

Graduated from Howell High School

Traveled to Germany as an exchange student and spent a summer there with a family

Went into the Military

Attended Flint Community College and Graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelors in Social Science

Taught School

Worked with an Educational Publisher for 17 years in sales and managing

Owned my own business

Got my real estate license in 1986 and have been working since with buyers and sellers.
I know what it takes to buy and sell homes, I have done it many times for our family and 10's of dozens of other families. When it comes to either finding a home or selling a home, it is the same price hiring me as it is a brand new licensee.
